Thrifty Mamma's Tips To Living A Frugal Lifestyle.

Being thrifty or frugal can be exciting and even fun! Some families have turned saving money into a game. They see how far they can squeeze their dollars. They comparison shop all the time for the items and services they need to buy. When they succeed at saving money, they are happy that they are helping themselves lead a calmer less stressful life.

In almost every part of our lives, we can find easy ways to reduce our cost of living. Housing, clothes, cars and leisure activities take a large part of our paychecks. Even our pets cost money to feed and keep healthy.

A little planning can help us cut our expenses without depriving us of anything we need. And don't think that cutting out even the small things won't help save money. Small savings over the years produce big savings. It's critical that you stretch every dollar to its absolute maximum, and there's no better time than right now to get started. When you learn to scrimp and save in unimportant areas of your life, you can splurge where it counts.

You can't begin too soon to reduce your expenses and improve your life. Advice about saving money often focuses on what you can't have. Maybe that works for some people, but personally, I would rather focus on what I can have instead of what I can't. It's less about deprivation than about living a good life on less money and things.

A combination of long-term planning and creative budgeting means our penny-pinchers can look forward to peace of mind tomorrow while they enjoy a calmer less materialistic lifestyle today.

Are you tired of waking up at 2 a.m. wondering how you're going to make ends meet this month? Are you or your spouse working a second job you HATE just to pay the bills? Are you looking for a way out of debt and a less stressed out life?

You've come to the right place! Like many of todays "Gen X-ers", I started my marriage and family with a pile of credit card debt, a healthy love of shopping, and very few organizational skills. We spent too much money on frozen pizzas, cable TV, and expensive hair cuts. We finally got a grip one month after totalling our expenses and realizing just how much excess we had become accustomed to. $54.92 in one month on McDonalds? What a waste. Read more about our journey to frugality.
